Predictions: T Jackson vs T Griffin TUF Finale
Just in case you’re wondering what the “T” stands for, it stands for team. Even though the coaches names is in the event, they won’t be fighting each other until the next PPV, July 5th. This is a pretty weak card compared to other free shows on Spike. The event airs, tomorrow at 9pm ET/PT (There’s also a replay at 12 am). Without further ado, here are my predictions.
Evan Tanner Vs. Kendall Grove
These two fighters always get beat up well known enough to headline the event. Tanner looked pretty sluggish in his last fight against Yushin Okami. He was slow and eventually TKO’d. Grove has a weak chin and always gets knocked out. It’s a tough call but I’ll go with my gut instinct and choose Tanner. If Tanner can take Grove down, he’ll get the win. I see Tanner dominating the ground but standing up could be a different story. Grover has longer reach and will probably try to knock out the older and slower Tanner. Tanner by decision.
Prediction: Tanner
Amir Sadollah Vs. CB Dollaway
These guys already fought in TUF and Sadollah came out the winner. I expect the match to be the same as the first match but with a different result. I don’t think Dollaway will get caught in another submission. I want Sadollah to win because he’s more exciting but Dollaway will take the decision.
Prediction: Dollaway
Diego Sanchez Vs. Luigi Fioravanti
These two fighters have one thing in common: they both lost to John Fitch. Maybe that’s why they were matched up Joe Silva. This is an easy fight for Sanchez. He will win by tko in the second round.
Prediction: Sanchez
Spencer Fisher Vs. Jeremy Stephens
This might be the fight of the night. Both fighters prefer to stand and exchange punches. Fisher has too much experience and will knock out Stephens in the second round.
Prediction: Fisher
Matt Riddle Vs. Dante Rivera
This might also be an entertaining match because they hated each other on TUF. Rivera is way older than Riddle but I still expect him to come out on top. Riddle will come out blasting in the first round but he will gas and get submitted by Rivera.
Prediction: Rivera
