This event looks okay but it’s free on Showtime at 10pm on Saturday, so I can’t complain about it.
KJ Noons vs. Yves Edwards
Noons has surprised me with his transition from boxing to MMA. After getting knocked out by Crazy Horse, he has gone on a 2 fight winning streak(one against Nick Diaz). I’m a big Yves Edwards fans since his fights are usually entertaining. He always pushes the fights. Edwards is nearing the end of his career and has slowed down. This will be a stand up match but don’t be surprised if they go to the ground. Both are more than capable on the ground, especially Edwards. Noons will knock out Edwards in the third round.

Nick Diaz vs. Muhsin Corbbrey
If Diaz doesn’t take this fight lightly, he should have an easy win. Even though Corbbrey’s style is muay thai, most of his wins are by submission. I don’t know what to expect from Nick Diaz anymore. Surprises the fans by submitting Gomi and then didn’t look impressive in the fights that followed. If anything, Diaz should win just based on experience alone. But then again he lost to Noons who’s new to the MMA scene. I expect Diaz to submit Corbbrey in the second round.

Murilo Rua vs. Tony Bonello
Rua left his camp(so did his brother Shogun and former teammate Wanderlei Silva), Chute Boxe after losing to Robbie Lawler. I don’t know who he trains with now but I’m glad he is still fighting. I think he made the right move by getting out of Chute Boxe. It seemed like all the fighters in the camp were plateauing. Bonello is 16-1 but has mostly fought in smaller shows. Rua is a bad match up for submission expert, Bonello, because Ninja is pretty good on the ground. I believe this will go to the judge and Rua doing enough to win all 3 rounds.

Rafael Feijao vs. Wayne Cole
This might be a war. Feijao is a stand up expert and Cole is well versed on both the ground and stand up. I think Cole will try to go for the takedown and do some ground and pounding. I think Cole will get the takedowns in the first round and then get knocked out in the second round.

Dave Herman vs. Ron Waterman
Dave Herman is undefeated and should beat Ron Waterman. Ron Waterman is too old to fight someone like Herman. Herman is stronger and faster. I expect a knockout in the second round by Dave Herman
